Who We Are
Ready EV Now advises homeowner associations and multi-family residential communities on planning and implementing electric vehicle charging in shared parking environments. The firm represents the interests of associations and residents, not vendors or equipment manufacturers.
The work focuses on policy development, infrastructure planning, and execution strategy. This includes evaluating existing electrical capacity, defining “make-ready” infrastructure, establishing fair cost-allocation models, and coordinating qualified design and construction professionals. The objective is to support informed, durable decisions that can be implemented incrementally and managed over time.
Ready EV Now LLC is a licensed business operating in the City of Chicago.
Chris Kniola
Founder and Principal Consultant
Chris is an experienced architect and works at the intersection of building systems, governance, and long-term planning. His practice is grounded in translating complex technical and regulatory constraints into clear, executable strategies for decision-making bodies.
He led the planning and approval of a building-wide EV charging make-ready program for a 92-space condominium garage in downtown Chicago. The approach required a one-time association investment in common-area electrical infrastructure, enabling individual owners to install private chargers at a consistent and predictable cost. The result was a scalable framework that preserved owner choice while maintaining equity across all parking spaces.
Ready EV Now was established to apply this experience to other associations facing similar technical, financial, and governance challenges. The firm provides independent, process-driven guidance tailored to dense urban residential buildings.
