What counts as a board introduction
A board introduction is what qualifies your building for a free Initial EV Infrastructure Assessment. This page explains what counts, what doesn't, and how to make the connection.
What counts
A board introduction is any clear, documented contact between Ready EV Now and someone with decision-making authority for your building's parking infrastructure. This is typically an active board member, a board officer, or a property manager retained by the association to make these decisions. The contact can be initiated by anyone connected to the building: a resident, an owner, a board member directly, or a property manager.
The introduction is documented in writing. Any of the following qualifies:
An email from a resident copying Ready EV Now and a sitting board member or property manager
An email from a board member or property manager directly to Ready EV Now
A phone call followed by a written confirmation (email recap, calendar invite, or meeting notes)
The written record establishes who was introduced, when, and that the board (or its authorized representative) was made aware that Ready EV Now is in the conversation.
What doesn't count
Anonymous tips or unsigned forms submitted on behalf of a building
A general inquiry from a resident with no path to the board
A vendor or installer recommending Ready EV Now's services - A board member's personal contact (e.g., asking for general advice) without a written acknowledgement that the firm is being considered
The standard is simple: when the board is aware Ready EV Now exists and someone has put us in front of them in writing, the introduction qualifies. When the board doesn't yet know, it doesn't.

Subject: EV charging planning for our building and independent consultant introduction
Hi [board name / property manager name],
I'm a resident at [building name / address]. As EV ownership grows in our building, I've been looking into how to bring proper charging infrastructure to our parking area.
I came across Ready EV Now, an independent Chicago consultancy that specializes in EV charging planning for multi-family buildings. They help boards evaluate options without conflict of interest, and they don't sell equipment or installation services.
They offer a free Initial Assessment when a building's board makes the introduction. Would you be open to a short call with them to see whether it's worth having on our radar? Their contact is below.

Why the introduction model exists
Boards are the decision-makers for shared parking infrastructure. They control budgets, sign agreements, and bear the fiduciary responsibility for capital improvements. Residents who want EV charging at their building often want help getting the conversation started with their board. The introduction model removes the friction by aligning Ready EV Now's incentives with what residents actually need: a way to put the option in front of their board without paying out of pocket.
When a board member makes the introduction directly, the same model applies. The introduction is the trigger; the source of the introduction is flexible.
What happens after the introduction
Once the board has been introduced to Ready EV Now and is open to a conversation, the Initial Assessment is provided at no cost. See the Initial EV Infrastructure Assessment page for details on what the Assessment includes.
